with just a handful of releases since 2012 (on unrest and tesco a.o.) am not has created a balanced style: power electronics no doubt, but with an edge of individuality and innovation.

these two tracks are like a petri dish of am not’s art: 'autopia now' is an upfront account of life in the grip of information psychosis, rumbling and harsh with an urgent, radicalised vocal delivery. 'bioluminescence' is creepy and dark with the vocals deep in the mix working like another layer of sound, a haunting soundscape describing relentless physical obsession and devotional predation. falling just short of nine minutes, this is like a dauntless plunge into the abyss … or perhaps just everyday life.
