about

nagoya is one of the largest cities in japan. as it’s located between japan’s largest metropolitan areas, the city has a very special small town feel. and maybe it’s the feel of this this isolated subculture that empowers and amplifies the creative art scene in a very special way. nagoya is also the home of our friend and artist 'contagious orgasm' with his label sssm, which released the first two albums by noiseconcrete x 3chi5.

noiseconcrete (noise guy) and female singer 3chi5 are a classic duo whose influences range from roots to postpunk, hardcore to jazzy trip hop. but as we said, Nagoya sparks rich creativity and noiseconcrete x 3chi5 create their own unique fusion of industrial, violent noise and trip hop in the most extreme and beautiful way. they play with the borders between voice and noise, with dark, minimal, bursting attacks, while simultaneously being bewitching, melodic and charming. 3chi5’s bluesy voice moves her surreal poetry through whispering and screaming improvisations till it's squeals, shattering on a wall of brutal noise slashes or fat trippy beats.

it's an experience and a pop/noise crossover par excellence.
