klangstabil was formed in 1994 by maurizio blanco and boris may. 'you may start' and 'kill all lifeforms' are two of klangstabil's most remarkable classic tunes and were originally released as the first and last songs on the highly acclaimed album 'taking nothing seriously' released in 2004. both tracks were written during klangstabil's storm and stress era and showcase the abrasiveness and naivety of youth.

'you may start' is about the desire of acceptance, the wish for an understanding and relationship, an aspiration for a together. every one carries within themselves the inevitability of being lost and alone. 'you may start' remains as final cry for help.

'kill all lifeforms' offers a counterpart to the opening track, it is the idea of resignation and shifts to the opposite. disappointments, lies, deceit and fights form the awareness that nothing good is to come anymore. any evolution of life towards an intelligent form is ending with pain and destruction. "kill all lifeforms" is the idea of negation in its entirety.

massive synth textures, distorted electro and intense vocals, intertwined with precise computerized drum beats add up to memorable tunes. elaborate rhythmic work, hidden sound fragments and klangstabil’s unmistakable tension are all present- all aided by deep and significant lyrics. the message counts, which is the sum of the music, vocals, production and lyrics.

we are nothing, if we let nothing exist.
