this very first klangstabil release 'senden und empfangen' was originally published by the german label shokoy on 12'' vinyl in 1995, limited to 999 copies. the sounds of fm transmissions, manipulated voices, harsh synths and distorted beats resulted in dark, minmalistic industrial soundscapes. even though, surprisingly, the project was not influenced by this genre at all. the vinyl version is long since deleted, so this important klangstabil release is now available again, this time in a digital format.
the project 'transmit and receive' ('senden und empfangen') introduced a new standard to the underground scene and is of interest even to people who have never had anything to do with pure electronic music. because they seek a true, intense sound, klangstabil concentrated mainly on analogue tools for this release. Specifically choosing to work without a computer-controlled sequencer. uncompromisingly individualistic, the artists pressed their impressions onto hallowed black vinyl and eschewed all influences from the commercial world.
